Did you know that Scarborough East Tennis in Columbus now offers Pickleball at its courts on the east side of Columbus?
If you are unfamiliar with Pickleball, according to USAPA.org, it is a paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players.
1. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong.
2. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net.
3. Played with a paddle and a plastic ball.
Bob Hilborn, Director of Scarborough, is excited to bring the popular game to Central Ohio. “Pickleball is a racquet sport that our members will easily be able to pickup. We have the space with all of our courts so it was a no-brainer to start offering it. More importantly, it is a fun and exciting game for all kinds of players. You don’t necessarily have to be great at tennis to be competitive at Pickleball.”
