The indoor courts at Scarborough East Tennis were packed in the early evening on Saturday, May 14th from 4:30 – 7:30 PM. The weather was chilly with a slight drizzle so the open house provided a great opportunity for members to get exercise and play some tennis on the indoor courts.
King of the Court contests were taking place on one court, next to that the new ace attack serve machine was in full display. There were videos being filmed by PlaySight as the SmartCourt technology was featuring Scarborough East Tennis as a “success story.” Last but not least, there were numerous courts set-up where Pickle Ball competition was in full force.
“Overall, the turnout was fantastic,” said Bob Hilborn, Club President. “I think our members had a great time as they got to play tennis, socialize and enjoy some food upstairs. There wasn’t a dull moment during the evening”
Jeff Angus, a PlaySight representative, had the following to say about Scarborough. “This club is a special place. I travel to different tennis clubs all over the country and there is a special bond that the members and pros have at Scarborough. I always love coming back here.”
Between the new PlaySight technology, the infrared lighting that was recently installed along with the resurfaced courts and new serve machine, the Scarborough members have a lot to be proud of.
